Modern Quilt Show

Modern Quilt Show?  Don't mind if I do!

A couple of weekends ago I popped up to the beautiful NSW coastal town of Kiama to visit the Australian Modern Quilt Show. Accompanied by some of my adventurous quilty pals, we flew up to Sydney, drove to Kiama, drove back to Sydney and flew back to Melbourne.  In a day.

And it was worth it!

The Show was hosted by the Wollongong Modern Quilt Guild, and featured dozens of quilts showcasing the best of modern quilting in Australia.

I was delighted to have two of my quilts accepted for exhibition, both in the improvisation category. Maeve's Quilt is one of my recent quilts, made with Ink & Spindle fabrics.

And yippee, my old faithful quilt Lawless received a Judges' Commendation!

- No, I did not intentionally dress to colour-match my quilt, but it is a happy coincidence, no? -

'Twas a great Show, and a great day!  All the winners are listed here
