Ampersand quilt

Is your life missing a quilt with a giant bright pink ampersand in it?  I can help with that.

Introducing the ampersand quilt.

This quilt is an improv quilt, which is kind of how I roll.  For my fabric selection, I went to the rock stars of Aussie fabric design and production; Ink & SpindleAunty CookieMaze and Vale and Umbrella Prints and most of these have been hand printed. (Respect).  These fabrics were interspersed with other bits and bobs of fabric curios and happy making scraps from my stash.

The pieced backing features a chevron print and inspirational text fabric.

It's been quilted on my domestic sewing machine with random straight lines and squiggly ones.

The ampersand quilt is square (ish) 152cm x 146cm and I think it's safe to say you'll never find another quite like it.  It would look ace flung on a couch in a jaunty fashion.

It's now sold, but there are a few other quilts available for sale at my Etsy shop.
